Applied Behavioral Analysis


Serenity C & C Inc.’s Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Program provides evidence-based therapy for individuals with autism and related needs. Focused on improving communication, behavior, and daily living skills, our ABA services are tailored to each child. The program is offered through our Hampton, VA center-based office.

Applied Behavior Analysis is provided by Behavior Technicians and Registered Behavior Technicians under the guidance of a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst).

We currently accept Sentara, Anthem, Cigna, Magellan/ Molina, United Health and Aetna. We are diligently working to provide care to Tricare recipients. We accept private pay as well.

What is ABA?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy based on the science of learning and behavior. It is especially helpful for children on the autism spectrum to learn how to navigate social scenarios and navigate interpersonal communication.

Who qualifies?

Serenity C & C Inc.’s ABA Program accepts new clients from the age of 2 to 12 years old. All children in the program must have a referral from a developmental pediatrician, as well as a formal Autism diagnosis.

Who provides ABA?

ABA Therapy starts with an evaluation by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. The protocol and activities are performed by a Behavior Technician under BCBA guidance.

What are Targets?

We create Targets for each child based on their unique needs and abilities. A target is a specific, observable, and measurable behavior that is selected for change through intervention

Do you train parents?

Our BCBA’s work directly with parents bi-monthly to align on target goals, improvements and behavior needs.

Where are you located?

Serenity C & C Inc. ABA is located at 103 Research Drive, Hampton, VA 23666. We are a center-based ABA Therapy program.

What is a BCBA?

A BCBA is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. These providers hold at least a Master’s Degree in ABA Therapy.

How long can we participate?

New clients must be between 2 and 12 years of age when starting our program. We will discharge a client when a child turns 18, or when we believe they have surpassed all appropriate developmental milestones.

Do you take our insurance?

We currently accept Sentara, Anthem, Cigna, Magellan/ Molina, United Health and Aetna. We accept private pay as well. We are currently working to accept Tricare.
