Community Engagement & Day Support
Serenity C & C Inc. is proud to offer both Community Engagement and Day Support Programs at our Newport News, center-based office.

Community Engagement & Day Support Services
Our Community Engagement and Day Support programs are designed to provide individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities meaningful, structured opportunities to build skills, foster relationships, and actively participate in their communities.
Offered through both center-based and community-based activities, these services are aligned with the standards set by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services and funded through Home and Community-Based Services waivers, as well as private pay options.
Currently based in Newport News, with plans to expand into Richmond, our program is built to meet individuals where they are—while helping them grow into where they want to be.

Why Choose Us
Discover the reasons that set Serenity C & C Inc.’s Day Support and Community Integration Program apart.
01
A Structured Day with Purpose
Each day is thoughtfully designed to balance skill-building, social interaction, and fun.
Individuals who participate in our program regularly enjoy trips to local destinations such as Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Nauticus, Topgolf Virginia Beach, Hampton Aquaplex, Hunt Club Farm, and the Virginia Zoo —creating opportunities for socialization, recreation, and real-world skill development.
02
Community-Based and Center-Based Support
We combine the consistency of a center-based program with the real-world benefits of community engagement.
Individuals have the opportunity to engage in structured activities on-site while also participating in outings that connect them to their local community.
This approach helps bridge the gap between skill development and real-life application, ensuring that progress made in the program translates into everyday independence.
03
Individualized Support in a Small Group Setting
Support is delivered in small group environments ensuring that each individual receives the attention and guidance they need.
We serve individuals who are ambulatory and do not require high medical support, allowing us to focus on community involvement, skill-building, and social engagement in a safe and appropriate setting.
Services are tailored based on each individual’s goals and needs, as identified through assessments such as the Supports Intensity Scale (SIS) and individualized service planning.
