What is Sponsored Residential?

Sponsored Residential is a person-centered service model designed to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the comfort of a private home. Rather than living in a facility-based setting, individuals are carefully matched with a trained sponsor provider who offers daily support, supervision, and a stable, family-style environment.

This model is guided by the standards of the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) and funded through Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) waivers, ensuring both quality and accountability at every level of care.

I have had a great experience as a Sponsored Provider with Serenity C & C Inc. I have been with them for over 13 years, and I got involved because of my grandson, who has multiple disabilities. To be able to be well trained and supported by Serenity C & C Inc. has truly enriched my family’s quality of life.
